JOURNEY INTO REGENERATIVE DESIGN
OUR INSPIRATION
We are deeply grateful for the hundreds of advocates, educators, artists, thought leaders, designers, environmentalists and their organisations, agencies, businesses, schools and other institutions around the world whose ideas and efforts have influenced us on our journey, even long before we started our own project. They are too numerous to mention on a single website page. However, we've included those that are most directly relevant to the themes of our project and whose ideas come to mind not just once or twice in our lives but over and over again. We hope this sampling of our influences can also inspire you in your own unique endeavours.
First and foremost, we are grateful for the vision, guidance and holistic framework created by the ILFI's Living Building Challenge team. Whether you're planning a new building, a major renovation or just a simple upgrade, check here to find ideas for how build more sustainably.

In this entertaining and insightful documentary first released in 2007, Annie Leonard connects the dots in a detailed look at where all of our "stuff" comes from, where it goes and what it truly costs us beyond the store price tag.
I trained for several weeks at OAEC over a decade ago, and I still call upon the teachings and the natural connection I experienced there. If you're traveling to the San Francisco Bay Area, it's worth paying a visit, or even making a trip for its own sake.
